I was born in Indianapolis, IN. Growing up with National Geographic magazines delivered to our house, I grew in love with traveling and especially photography. I bought my first real camera in the 70’s and discovered I had a knack for composition and color. It wasn’t, however, until I retired and moved to Savannah that I began selling my art. I continue to find my greatest inspiration here. I have been honored to win awards at local and national exhibits. My photograph, “Wormsloe Drive” was displayed in a digital exhibition at the Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago. Another photograph, “The Stare” was featured in “121 Clicks”, a digital magazine with a world class portal dedicated to arts and photography. My photographs are created to reflect my artistic vision. Rather than present the raw images captured by my camera, I alter the colors, contrast, forms, contents, format and other aspects of each image. Depending on the image, items may be removed or added or several photographs may be stacked together. Thank you for your interest. Linda Andrews
My photographs cannot be construed as something that truly exists. They are intended to be seen as a representation of my creativity, artistic intent, and desire to create a unique world rather than as documentation of the world we live in. I want my photographs to not only show that the images were taken with a camera but that they were created by an artist.
