Call for Entry
What/When: In conjunction with the Downtown Improvement District Days of Holly Shopping https://downtownfortwayne.com/holly-shopping/ on November 26 from 10am – 3pm University of Saint Francis will sponsor an arts bazaar event open to all USF student and alumni artists, artisans, and performers at the USF Robert Goldstine Performing Art Center.
Where: The University of Saint Francis Holiday Bazaar will take place in the beautiful horseshoe area, auditorium, and ballroom of the USF Robert Goldstine Performing Art Center on the USF downtown campus 431 W Berry St, 46802
Why: USF students and alums from all disciplines are doing creative things. They are talented and unique, and we want to show that to the community at large.
 Who: This call is open to all USF students and alumni:
- Art, crafts, and wares to sell. Each application will receive consideration from a panel of local arts professionals. Previous experience selling your artwork/craft is NOT required.
- Artists and artisans will be provided 1-2 eight-foot tables, two chairs and tablecloths but are encouraged to bring their own set up display. Wifi and power outlets available. Entry fee of $20 (early bird deadline), $40 (late deadline) payable through Eventbrite. If NOT accepted, the booth fee will be refunded.
- Performers (singers, musicians, bands, dancers, spoken word, comedy …). There is no entry fee for performers. We will be scheduling 10-30 minute sets. Basic sound equipment (mics) provided.
Application Requirements:
- Applicants must submit entry form through Eventbrite.
- Artista/artisans must submit 3-5 sample images of their art/craft and/or display set-up in digital format (.jpeg). Previous participants are exempt from sample images. Please label files with last name and entry number, example Wade1.jpeg and email image files as attachments to Cara Wade (cwade@sf.edu),
- Performing applicants must submit a 1+ minute clip or demo of their performance. Please contact Tony Didier adidier@sf.edu for further information. All performers must be family friendly.
Important Dates:
8-31-22 – Early bird deadline for applications and booth fees to be received through Eventbrite $20 art booth fee
9-16-22 – Acceptance notification emails sent for early bird deadline
9-30-22 – Confirmation of early bird acceptance deadline
10-31-22 – Late deadline for applications and both fees to be received through Eventbrite $40 art booth fee
11-7-22 – Acceptance notification emaisl sent out for late deadline
11-18-22 – Confirmation of late acceptance deadline
USF is not responsible for damage or loss of artwork/handmade craft goods accrued to, from, or during the event. All selected participants must be present and their booth attended for the entirety of the event Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 10:00am to 3:00pm.
