Maryland Makers Market
May 8, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm EDT
Mark your calendars! On May 8th I am hosting a pop up art show in my Federal Hill rowhouse for 5 local artists and myself. We are all women, self-taught, and this is the first gallery/ art show for all but one of us. I am about to move to Boston and as a native, third-generation Baltimorean I had to find a way to celebrate and thank the artistic community that has supported me over the last few years, in spite of the pandemic. I am not charging any commission for the artists, although I am accepting tips 😉
In addition to the many beautiful goods for sale (ceramics, paper crafts, embroidery, photography, resin pours, and more) this event is your opportunity to see my hand sewn tapestries of Central Park and and the Emerald necklace park system in Boston. My goal for these multi-year projects is to raise awareness of how we use our green spaces in an increasingly urban world, and to advocate for urban gardens wherever possible but especially in Central Park.
Registration is free and limited, due to covid-friendly protocol. We will require masks be worn at all times, and I have hired staff to take temperatures at the door, and maintain one-way traffic. Tickets are sold for each hour, and while we are capping the number of guests at 14 at a time, the back parking pad will be clear for my block so we can have a socially distanced line. No food or drinks allowed inside. Follow @CrewelAndKind for more information.
