Chicago’s 76th Annual 57th Street Art Fair

Celebrating 76 years in Hyde Park, the 57th Street Art Fair is the Midwest’s longest running juried art fair and a favorite for collectors, artists, art lovers, and kids of all ages. Kicking off Chicago’s summer festival season, the Fair anticipates 20,000+ attendees for exploring art from across the country, connecting with the artists and shopping for one of a kind works of art. The expansive Fair with 150+ artists is held along the historic streets of Hyde Park (between Kenwood and Woodlawn Avenues) and features original works in glass, jewelry, leather, photography, printmaking, painting, sculpture, wood, ceramics and fiber art – you are sure to find something handmade, special and one of a kind.
Calling all art lovers, the 57th St Art Fair is THE place to buy art and start a collection, whether you’re a seasoned collector or new to the art scene. All artists exhibiting at the Fair are stationed in their booths throughout the weekend to discuss their work. This year, 150+ artists will exhibit, allowing visitors to meet the artists, discuss their inspiration, and see how pieces could fit into a collection. Fair explorers will find spectacular works at every price point. Enhancing the experience for all include family friendly activities and food and beverage available for purchase.
The Fair will marry music with the arts, courtesy of the acclaimed Buddy Guy’s Legends, providing Chicago’s finest blues and jazz acts both Saturday and Sunday. The talented musicians will offer further entertainment and ambiance among the artists.

The Fair is pleased to also offer a Family Friendly Activity Area that will be located on the North side of the Ray School playground. This area will be complete with activities and performances for all ages to enjoy that include: Hyde Park Art Center, Urban Prairie Waldorf School, and more! Food options from various vendors including Robinson’s Ribs will also be offered as well.
