Join us for the 2nd Annual Artisans & Innovator Market, organized by the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center (NIIC), hosted by Electric Works, and supported by the Allen County Public Library (ACPL).

There’s no need for individuals to register to attend the event. We look forward to seeing you there!

2nd ANNUAL ARTISANS & INNOVATORS MARKET DETAILS:

Date: October 29, 2023

Time: 10:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.

Location: Electric Works Forum – Building #19

This event offers an opportunity to showcase and sell products. It’s timed right for early holiday shoppers!

Two other events at Electric Works that day promise a great customer turnout:

Trunk or Treat from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M. – Families from the community will gather for a night of fun, creativity, and, of course, treats! The event will be held during Electric Works’ Trunk or Treat event, which welcomed over 600 enthusiastic visitors last year!

Shop Local Food Vendor Market from 10:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. – Dynamo Alley will come alive with delectable delights where guests can savor a wide array of culinary delights from local food vendors who will tantalize their taste buds.

This year’s event also features an Entrepreneur Resource Fair during setup on 10/28 (see below).

VENDOR INFORMATION:

NOTE: No food and beverage vendors accepted due to the Local Food Vendor Market. However, food and beverage vendors can sign up for the Union Street Holiday Market events running in November & December. The details and sign up are here. Application are due by 10/14/23.

Booth Fees: $10.00 Informational Booths (no selling) and $25.00 Vendor Booths (selling in the booth)

Booth Setup + Resource Fair: Saturday, 10/28 from 4:00-7:00 P.M.

  • 4:00-6:00 P.M. – Vendor Booth Setup – Vendors will be assigned a 20-minute unloading time. First-come, first-serve. Unloading will be via the entrance off Swinney Street. Times will be emailed to you following sign-up.
  • 6:00-7:00 P.M. – Small Business & Entrepreneur Resource Fair + Networking Session – Hear about support and programs for small businesses from representatives from various organizations. Enjoy dinner and/or beverages on your own at Union Street Market afterward.
  • 9:00 P.M. – Doors are locked at The Forum (building #19) and security will be there all night.

Marketplace: Sunday, 10/29 from 10:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M.

  • 9:00 A.M. – Building opens and vendors arrive.
  • 9:30 A.M. – Vendors must be at their booths and ready to sell.
  • 10:00 A.M. – Market opens. Vendors should remain at their booth until 4:00 P.M. Volunteers will be available throughout the day. If a vendor must leave their booth, they should inform an on-site volunteer.
  • 4:00 P.M. – Tear down begins. Do not begin tear down before 4:00 P.M.
  • 5:00 P.M. – Tear down completed. Vendors will be assigned a 20-minute loading time. First come, first serve. Unloading will be via the entrance off Swinney Street. Times will be emailed to you following sign-up.

Parking: Parking fees are not included in the booth price. Various options surround Electric Works; the closest lot is off Swinney Street. The first two hours of parking in a paid lot is free. Parking for 3-8 hours costs $1/hour (starting at $3), with the highest paid amount of $8. Click here for a parking map.

Provided Items: One 8-ft table. Two chairs. Booth area size: 10 ft. x 5ft.

Bring: Tablecloths, signage, business cards, marketing materials, products for sale, payment system and/or change for cash payments, extra table if needed–must fit inside your booth–, and candy for Trunk or Treat. Feel free to wear a costume if you’d like as well!)

Electricity: Electricity is not guaranteed. Notify us if you require electricity or an extension cord.

Overnight Security: Cover booth items with a tarp or tablecloth on Saturday after set-up. The Forum building closes at 9:00 P.M. Security guards are present 24/7. The building reopens at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday.

Accepting Payments: Vendors provide their own Point of Sale system for accepting credit/debit payments plus change for cash (if accepting.) There is an ATM available in the Forum, if needed.

Dress Code: Dress up for the Trunk or Treat event if you wish!
