SUMMARY:Textile Arts Center's AIR Final Open Studios
DESCRIPTION:Come to Textile Arts Center to check out the Artist-in-Residence artists’ work and learn about their process\n\n\nARTIST IN RESIDENCE cycle 17 Open Studios: On Sunday\, May 31\, from 11 am – 2 pm\, \nCome to Textile Arts Center (505 Carroll St\, Brooklyn\, NY 11215) and learn about the work of our current AIR artists. Our AIR 17 Open Studios are a chance to speak with the residents about their practice\, see their processes up close\, and have a peek into what they have been exploring during their introductions to different textile techniques. \nTAC’s AIR 17 are: \nMateo Gutiérrez \nCici Osias \nMargaret Roleke \nSeyoung Hong \nDiana Eusebio \nAlessandro Levato \nVero Bello \nVic Liu \n \nTAC AIR combines studio access with a rigorous interdisciplinary curriculum\, and regular critical dialogue\, providing residents an opportunity to learn and explore the textile medium\, and an alternative to traditional higher education programs. The residency culminates in a group exhibition produced and hosted by TAC. Since 2010\, TAC AIR has graduated over 100 artists and designers whose work continues to further textile art within the fashion\, fine arts\, design and art education fields.
