Shop over 175  vendors from across the Midwest including handmade artisans\, purveyors of vintage goods and boutique shops – while enjoying some of the best local food & music. \n– Advance general admission ticket prices are $7/adult ($10 at the gate the day of market). Gates open at 9am for general admission.  \n-The Early Bird ticket gives you a full hour head start on shopping  – gates open at 8am for those holding an Early Bird ticket! The ticket price is $20/adult and is ONLY SOLD IN ADVANCE.   NO Early Bird tickets will be sold the morning of market.  \n-VIP tickets will allow you entrance into the Urban Farmgirl Barn at 7:30am and the entire fairgrounds at 8am! The ticket price is $30/adult and is ONLY SOLD IN ADVANCE. NO VIP tickets will be sold the morning of market.  \nYouth ages 17 and under are welcome at no charge provided they are accompanied by a paying adult.  \n \nPlease be prepared to show your ticket on your mobile device at the gate.  (Or print at home and have your print-out ready to show at the gate for entry.) All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be given unless the event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. If we are required to cancel\, a full refund will issued to the original payment method. Those refunds are processed directly by our ticket processor\, Eventbrite. Urban Farmgirl will not be issuing any refunds directly.  \n \n– Parking will be available by Gates 1 & 2 off Route 76. SUMMARY:Free– ArtServe Mental Health Exhibit Celebrates Emotional Wellness Through Art
DESCRIPTION:In an art exhibit entitled “Wellness Exhibition:  Fostering Mental and Emotional Health—An Artist’s Journey Through Healing” that runs from Fri.\, April 14 to Fri.\, June 16\, 2023\, ArtServe will explore how artists apply various genres and mediums to convey different journeys of well-being\, self-love and healing through their art. \nA free\, public opening reception is planned from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m on Friday\, April 21.  Admission is free to both the exhibit and reception.   \nArtServe is located at 1350 E. Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.  Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.  \nArtServe curated the “Wellness” exhibit from local artists’ submissions.  Entries also were welcomed from both adults and students in the eighth grade through college.   \n“It’s long been known in medical circles that art is a highly effective form of therapy that encourages non-verbal communication and healing when people are often unable to speak for whatever the reason\,” ArtServe executive director Jason Hughes said. “Exploring self-expression through the outlet of various artforms can create a safe space that helps many embrace and sort through their own personal difficulties.” \nAccording to the American Art Therapy Association\, there are over 5\,000 art therapists practicing nationwide who provide services for individuals\, families\, and communities through active art-making\, creative processes\, applied psychological theory and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship. \nA solo exhibit entitled “Story of a Woman’s Journey” produced by Deborah Strelkow will run concurrently to the “Wellness” exhibit at ArtServe. \nArtServe inspires\, supports and advances its diverse members\, artists and community by promoting artistic development\, education and prosperity through the exploration and presentation of the visual and performing arts.   \nAbout ArtServe  \nNamed a “2020 Top-Rated Nonprofit” by GreatNonprofits\, the leading provider of user reviews of charities and nonprofits\, Fort Lauderdale-based ArtServe is an award-winning arts incubator that is advancing the arts for social good as a creative laboratory and hub for experimental artists committed to diversity\, equity and inclusion. Now in its 35th year\, ArtServe has won several awards for innovation in the arts and is supported in part by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners as recommended by the Broward Cultural Council and Florida’s Department of State and the Division of Cultural Affairs.
