DESCRIPTION:The Viking Booster Club of Fremd High School is pleased to announce our 2023 Holiday Craft Fair.\n\n\nWe hope you will join us at the Fremd High School Viking Booster Club annual Holiday Craft Fair!  \nThe Viking Booster Club supports all Fremd High School students\, and this is one of our biggest fundraisers. Please read all information below before registering! \nDATE:    Saturday\, December 9\, 2023  \nEXHIBIT TIME:    9:00 am to 4:00 pm  \nSET UP TIME:     6:30 am to 9:00 am \nBOOTH SIZE:     10 feet by 6 feet in hallways \n                                     12 feet by 6 feet in Cafeteria* \n                                    *Note:  Table rental is only available for booths in the Cafeteria!  \n\nPlease add fremdcraftfair@gmail.com and noreply@eventbrite.com to your contact list so that our emails to you don’t go in your SPAM folder.\n\n\nREFUNDS:  If you are accepted\, your money is non-refundable.\n\n\nFOOD VENDORS:  Vendors selling food must contact the Village of Palatine Environmental Health Division at (847) 359-9090 to discuss what you will be selling at this event. They will determine whether a Temporary Food Event Permit will be required for this event at that time. They need at least a 2 week lead time to process permits. Note: There is NO cooking or open flame allowed inside the building. \n\n\nIMPORTANT NOTE FOR DIRECT SALES PARTICIPANTS:  We will only accept ONE APPLICATION for each direct sales product (Tupperware\, Color Street\, Avon\, etc.). If you do not receive an email from us you can assume you have been approved. \n\n\nBOOTH ASSIGNMENTS will be emailed made once the event is full but no later than 12/06/2023. All crafters will receive an e-mail notification when booth assignments are available. \n\n\nSET-UP: Booth spaces that are not occupied by 8:00 am will be resold without refunds.\n\n\nLUNCH: Crafters may order lunch on this site. Concessions are also available throughout the day. FREE COFFEE is available at the concession stand for all crafters between 7:30 am – 9:00 am. \n\n\nTEAR DOWN: Vendors are required to keep booths open for business between  9:00am – 4:00pm. Please do not start tear down before 3:30 pm.\n\n\nCOUNTERFEITS: The Viking Booster Club rental policy expressly prohibits participating vendors from engaging in the sale\, distribution\, advertisement\, promotion or display of counterfeit merchandise or ‘knockoffs’ including\, but not limited to\, handbags\, sunglasses and t-shirts. The sale of counterfeit items will lead to immediate eviction from the event.  \n\n\nCHAIRS are NOT provided. REGISTER EARLY!) \n\nUp to Sept. 30th = Early-Bird Registration Price is $50 per space.\nOctober 1st = Registration will increase to $60 per space.\nNov. 15th = Registration will increase to $75 per space.\n\nWHO CAN PARTICIPATE:  \nAll types of  arts & crafts are welcome at the Holiday Craft Fair.  Crafts must be  handcrafted.  In accordance with school district policies\, any items involving or depicting alcohol\, tobacco or cannabis will not be allowed. In accordance with county health department policies\, no candy or other consumable items may be set out on tables for guests to take for free. \nCRAFT VENDORS MUST SUBMIT PICTURES OF THEIR WORK AND SPECIFIC DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS.  \nDIRECT SALES BUSINESSES:  (such as Tupperware\, Stella & Dot\, etc.)  A limited number  will be allowed in the show.  This is a very strict policy. Tables can only be rented from the Boosters up until Nov. 15th.  \nELECTRICAL OUTLET NEAR TABLE: \nWe have a limited number of spaces available that have access to an electrical outlet. You can reserve one for $5  in the “Tickets” payment section. Once they are sold out\, we cannot add any more. \nRAFFLE: \nEach crafter is expected to donate one of their works worth at least $10 to the raffle table. All donations will be given away during a continuous raffle held throughout the day. Vendors may purchase drinks at the concession stand at the event. Join us\, sell your holiday wares and support our student organizations and activities\n\n\n\nPalatine High School Pirate Booster Club is pleased to announce our 2023 Craft Fair. Proceeds from booth fees and raffle fundraiser will benefit student organizations and activities at Palatine High School. \nSET UP TIME:  6:00 AM – 9:00 AM \nEXHIBIT TIME:  9:00 AM – 4:00 PM \nBOOTH LOCATIONS: Booths will be located in the cafeteria and Main & East Gyms. \nBOOTH SPACE: Most booths are 10’ wide and 8’ deep or 12′ wide and 6′ deep. Please note these sizes are approximate and may vary slightly due to building configurations and to accommodate adherence to fire codes. We do our best to hand-place vendors for maximum variety throughout the fair; as well as\, accommodate booth size requests on a first come-first served basis. All such requests must be included in the “Notes” filed upon checkout.  \nRequests for specific booth size/placement cannot be guaranteed and are up to the organizers’ discretion. \nFEES:  \n\nEarly Bird Fee (June 1\, 2023-July 31\, 2023\, 11:59pm) – $75\nRegular Fee (after August 1\, 2023\, 12:00am\, if space allows) – $90\nTables and electricity are available for additional fees\nChairs will be provided at no charge.\nReturned Check Fee – $25\n\nRAFFLES: In addition to the payment of the booth fee\, all vendors will be required to make a donation of one item for the Craft Fair Raffle Table (suggested retail value of at least $15).  \nCRAFTER RAFFLE: Upon receipt of the raffle donation\, crafters will be entered into a raffle for a free booth space at the 2023 PHS Pirate Booster Club Craft Fair at Palatine High School! \nDISPLAY ITEMS: We prefer hand-crafted items. We will only accept a limited number of commercial vendors (i.e.: Tastefully Simple\, Avon\, etc.) and only one vendor from each company will be accepted. We will also limit jewelry and other popular vendor types as space permits to provide the greatest variety for craft fair patrons. Commercial vendors must mark the appropriate box on the application form. \nFOOD VENDORS: Applications for food sales or samples must be accompanied by a certificate of insurance (liability). Vendors that are selling food for this event must contact the Village of Palatine Environmental Health Division at (847) 359-9090 to discuss what you will be selling at the event. They will determine whether a temporary food event permit would be required for this event at that time. Due to COVID considerations\, decisions regarding sampling of food products will be made shortly prior to the event start date. \nPHOTOS/WEBSITE LINKS: Please include a link to your website\, Facebook page\, Etsy shop\, etc.\, in the application. \nCONFIRMATION LETTER: Crafters selected to participate will receive confirmation of acceptance. We will refund the payment/return checks to crafters not selected to participate. No refunds will be issued for crafters who cancel after October 15\, 2023. \nFOOD SERVICE AT FAIR:  Information on food will be sent at a later time.  \nSET UP: The school will be open at 6:00am for check-in. Additional setup\, loading and parking information will be provided at a later time. Limited carts and volunteers will be available to help crafters unload and load their items.
