Details follow. \n2nd ANNUAL ARTISANS & INNOVATORS MARKET DETAILS: \nDate: October 29\, 2023  \nTime: 10:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.  \nLocation: Electric Works Forum – Building #19 \nThis event offers an opportunity to showcase and sell products. It’s timed right for early holiday shoppers!  \nTwo other events at Electric Works that day promise a great customer turnout: \nTrunk or Treat from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M. – Families from the community will gather for a night of fun\, creativity\, and\, of course\, treats! The event will be held during Electric Works’ Trunk or Treat event\, which welcomed over 600 enthusiastic visitors last year! \nShop Local Food Vendor Market from 10:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. –  Dynamo Alley will come alive with delectable delights where guests can savor a wide array of culinary delights from local food vendors who will tantalize their taste buds. \nThis year’s event also features an Entrepreneur Resource Fair during setup on 10/28 (see below). \nVENDOR INFORMATION: \nNOTE: No food and beverage vendors accepted due to the Local Food Vendor Market. However\, food and beverage vendors can sign up for the Union Street Holiday Market events running in November & December. The details and sign up are here. Application are due by 10/14/23. \nBooth Fees: $10.00 Informational Booths (no selling) and $25.00 Vendor Booths (selling in the booth) \nBooth Setup + Resource Fair: Saturday\, 10/28 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. \n\n4:00-6:00 P.M. – Vendor Booth Setup  – Vendors will be assigned a 20-minute unloading time. First-come\, first-serve. Unloading will be via the entrance off Swinney Street. Times will be emailed to you following sign-up.\n6:00-7:00 P.M.  – Small Business & Entrepreneur Resource Fair + Networking Session – Hear about support and programs for small businesses from representatives from various organizations. Enjoy dinner and/or beverages on your own at Union Street Market afterward.\n9:00 P.M. – Doors are locked at The Forum (building #19) and security will be there all night. \n\nMarketplace: Sunday\, 10/29 from 10:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M. \n\n9:00 A.M. – Building opens and vendors arrive.\n9:30 A.M. – Vendors must be at their booths and ready to sell.\n10:00 A.M. – Market opens. Vendors should remain at their booth until 4:00 P.M. Volunteers will be available throughout the day. If a vendor must leave their booth\, they should inform an on-site volunteer.\n4:00 P.M. – Tear down begins. Do not begin tear down before 4:00 P.M.\n5:00 P.M. – Tear down completed. Vendors will be assigned a 20-minute loading time. First come\, first serve. Unloading will be via the entrance off Swinney Street. The fair brings in more than 200 vendors selling arts & crafts\, jewelry\, cosmetics\, glassware\, woodworks\, holiday items\, clothing and many other items.\nRegistration opens to the public March 26th\, 2023\, and ends November 10th\, 2023. Please read the event description and instructions carefully before registering for a booth. \nPricing: Booth = $55 per booth\, plus processing fees where applicable\nREFUNDS. Attendees can receive refunds up to 30 days prior to the event date. After 30 days\, refunds will not be processed; vendors requesting cancellation after this date will forfeit their registration fee. Vendors must cancel their booth space by contacting CHS Band Boosters. CHS Band Boosters will not allow vendors who purchased a booth outside of its Eventbrite registration system to set up/attend the fair.  \nCOMMERCIAL VENDORS must contact CHS Band Boosters via the link on this page prior to registration. Commercial Vendors are limited to one (1) per brand (i.e.\, Pampered Chef\, Tastefully Simple\, Pink Zebra\, etc.). If a commercial vendor under your brand is already registered\, you will be notified that registration for that commercial brand is filled and you will not be permitted to register this season. CHS Band Boosters reserves the right to deny any request in this category. CHS Band Boosters monitors registration and will cancel reserved spaces and refund money for anyone not previously approved in this category for registration.  \nALL VENDORS interested in registering should consider the following: \n\n\nVendors will select their own booth spaces in the EventBrite.com online registration system. CHS Band Boosters reserves the right to move any vendor for any reason. In the event of a booth move\, the CHS Band Boosters will attempt to provide the vendor with a similar space\, if possible\, and notify the vendor of the change via a new confirmation email. \n\n\nWhile we recognize some vendors have participated with us for many years\, we also recognize the desire of more vendors in the community to participate in our fairs. Vendors will be solely responsible for registering to get the best space available. Booth space will be sold online on a first-come\, first-served basis.  \n\n\nAll vendors must bring their own table(s) and chair(s).  \n\n\nTicket sales end when all booth spaces are filled or on the last date of ticket sales\, whichever comes first. Registration may be extended beyond the final date if necessary. \n\n\nIf all spaces in the cafeteria and/or hallway are not filled\, CHS Band Boosters reserves the right to move vendors to fill main spaces of the event. Vendors will be moved based on the date they registered and notified prior to any movement.  \n\n\nSpaces are typically 8×8 or 10×6. Booth dimensions are interchangeable\, and are determined by fire safety regulations.  \n\n\nCHS Band Boosters will send Vendor Information approximately 1 week prior to the event to all registered attendees. \n\n\nVendors will be required to sign a Code of Conduct sheet before they can sign into the event. Hostility will not be tolerated\, in any form\, towards volunteers\, students\, guests\, or vendors. Anyone that is in violation of this policy will be asked to vacate the school immediately. Refunds will not be provided. This is an event hosted at a school\, and worked by students. Positive behavior is required.

On Saturday\, November 11\, the Charlotte Art Collective will host their delightful Holiday Show. This group of twenty-five local artists\, who work in a wide variety of media\, will offer an abundance of artwork – each piece handcrafted and unique.   The show will be in the Dilworth/Freedom Park neighborhood in the spacious Family Life Center at Avondale Presbyterian Church\, 2821 Park Road.  Parking is ample and free.  The show runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.\n \n \nThis popular juried show includes a lively mix of established and emerging artists who work in a variety of media. You may find glass\, original paintings and prints\, mixed media\, a wide variety of handcrafted jewelry\, hand-made purses\, fiber\, functional and decorative pottery\, intriguing photography\, wood arts\, handmade books\, and whimsical sculptures of all sizes and more. The show introduces new artists along with favorite ones returning\, all chosen by a jury of fellow artists.  Many are full-time professionals – some are represented in galleries\, some teach and all stay busy in their studios.  CAC artists have won numerous awards and commissions and have sold their works to collectors spanning multiple continents. The group has successfully produced shows in the Dilworth area for more than 20 years.\n \n \nThe Charlotte Art Collective will feature a show sweepstakes for “Basketfuls of Art” – presenting the winners with a selection of art and craft from each artist.  While tickets are free with no obligation to participate\, attendees can donate to The Relatives\, an area nonprofit that helps children and youth in crisis.\n \n \nNumerous show visitors have commented that the show is one of the best high-end art and craft shows around and it’s not to be missed.
