DESCRIPTION:CALL FOR VISUAL ARTISTS: Registration is now open.\nCrawl with us at Schmidt!\n\n\nDates & Times: \n\nFriday\, Oct 6 • 6  to 9 pm\nSaturday\, Oct 7 • 12  to 7 pm\nSunday\, Oct 8 • 12  to 5 pm\n\nBooth Space — Every show space is slightly different with unique benefits. We will match you with a location after you complete the registration and submit your images and description of your art. Booths will vary from 6×6′ to 10×10′ throughout the Brewhouse. Artists are expected to be creative with their display\, be kind to their neighbors\, and not extend beyond their allotted space. \nArtists are responsible for bringing their own set-up\, including tables\, displays\, hanging walls\, extra lighting\, chair\, and other items needed to manage their own sales. This is a 3-day event; artists must remain set up for the weekend and clean their space at the end of the event.  \nSchmidt Art Crawl Team seeks to attract a broad spectrum of participants and reserves the right to cap the number of booths in each art genre. Please register early to secure your space. \nArtists must submit 3 images and a brief description (up to 50 words) of their art to: theschmidtartcrawl@gmail.com at the time of submission\, for consideration. Join us for a day of community\, fun\, and celebration on the beautiful grounds of Cove Park in the heart of the oldest and largest historic district in Connecticut. (Also the state’s most recently designated Cultural District). Browse hand-made items\, shop for unique gifts\, meet the artists\, and watch demonstrations from over 75 juried artisans and vendors.  There will be pottery\, woodwork\, prints\, jewelry\, textiles\, and fabric art\, painting\, photography\, and so much more. Free parking is available along State Street\, and adjacent to the DMV.  \nWethersfield Historical Society’s Tent will be filled with “Attic Treasures” and treats. Our volunteer bakers will be offering delicious home-made goodies for sale. Residents also pay a lower space rental fee. \nArtist Registration: All participants must register and pay for an exhibition space in advance of the event. There will not be any commission fees in addition to the space rental. \nArtist Location and Setup: All artists and participants will be required to provide their own setup\, tables\, tents\, equipment\, and materials. On the day of the event\, Artists will be able to drive into the park area to quickly unload their materials and then exit the park area. ALL vehicles MUST be out of the park area no later than 9:45 am. Late arrivals will be required to hand carry materials. Electricity will not be provided. \nBenefit the Community: BMW Lions event proceeds will be donated to charities that help people who are blind/vision impaired and juveniles with diabetes.
